Marios Andreou is a Member of the Management Board of PwC Cyprus as Head of Market Strategy. He is also the Head of Taxation Services and of Tax Policy matters. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (BSc (Econ) Econometrics and Mathematical Economics).
Marios obtained his professional qualification with Price Waterhouse London between 1991 to 1994 and later transferred to Price Waterhouse London tax, specialising in Investment Management and Real Estate (IMRE). Marios became tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers Cyprus on 1 January 2003.
Marios has wide experience in international tax structuring with special attention to India, the UK, Russia, Ukraine and Canada. He has significant experience in Private Equity and M&A transactions, including restructuring of groups of companies. His clients include both local and international corporations including the private structures of High Net Worth individuals.
He is the president of the Cyprus/India business association which is under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry since its set up in September 2005 and a member of the PwC European India Business Group. He is a member of the taxation committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus (ICPAC) and he served as president of the EU matters committee of the ICPAC for two years.
