    Ambassador of Romania to Cyprus
    On January 22nd, 2021, the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, signed the presidential decree appointing Dan Mihalache as the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Cyprus. Before this appointment, Dan Mihalache held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Court of St. James's, the Head of Presidential Chancellery and the Head of Presidential Administration. Mr. Mihalache served a complete term as Member of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies, he also held a seat as Observer and then as Member of the European Parliament (MEP). Dan Mihalache's prior public positions include Secretary General of the Romanian Senate, Deputy Secretary General of the Romanian Government and Adviser to the Romanian Prime Minister.

    Dan Mihalache is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest (1994) and holds a PhD in Political Science (SNSPA, 2008). He also graduated from the National Defence College (1998). He is a specialist in political analysis and marketing. He is the co-author of the volume Three Years at the Polls, vol. I (Nemira, 2012), and has also published numerous analytical articles. The President of Romania awarded Dan Mihalache the National Order "Star of Romania" in rank of Knight.
