Yannis is currently Managing Director, heading the MUFG Investor Services newly-built office in Cyprus, which is expected to grow to 300 staff over the coming 3-5 years.
Amongst other prior executive roles, Yannis served as CEO of Hellenic Bank in Cyprus, as Managing Director at Mizuho in London where he was global head of Credit, Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange Derivatives, and as Managing Director at ING Barings in London where he was global head of Credit Derivatives.
Yannis also co-founded Point Nine, a Financial Technology (FinTech) company that was subsequently acquired by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG).
As a non-executive Yannis is currently serving as Chairman of the Boards of The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, and of Point Nine Data Trust. Amongst many other non-executive roles, Yannis previously served as Chairman of the Boards of the Association of Cyprus Banks and of Artemis Bank Information Systems, a private Credit Bureau, and as Member of the Boards of Hellenic Bank, of the European Banking Federation in Frankfurt and of Trastor Real Estate Investment Company in Greece.
Yannis graduated from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, first with a Bachelor's (B.A.) degree and then with a Master's (M.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering.
