Costas Markides is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).
Costas is heading the International Tax practice of KPMG in Cyprus. He is a frequent speaker in Cyprus and abroad on topics related to International Tax and has published many articles on the subject both in Cyprus and the US.
Costas is a Member of the Steering committee that has undertaken the reform of the Cyprus Tax system. He is also a Member of the Advisory team supporting the Ministry of Finance during Tax treaty negotiations.
Costas is since 2019, a founding Member and the first president of the Cyprus-Kazakhstan Business association, an association operating under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
